Our LCA model

®

"We were wondering if it was possible to calculate the impact of food&beverage distribution"

To find out the impact of the distribution of food&beverage products on a specific point of sale
it was first necessary to analyze the carbon footprint of the distribution company that supplied that point of sale
but there was no specific model to do it.
.

"Why a specially designed LCA model?"

The food&beverage distributor is not a simple shipper but a company that offers various complex services,
with related very relevant impacts and a generic methodology could not be used but it was necessary to create
a new model specific to the sector.

"How can you start a diet without a scale?"

To reduce CO2 emissions, as happens in a diet, you must first know the  your starting weight.

Since there is no "precision balance" we have set up, thanks to the network made available by Joule,
an authoritative and qualified work and research group,
and we made together with ERGO - Spin off of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa,
an innovative certified and specially designed LCA model
to calculate the environmental impact of food&beverage distribution and procurement.

So MISURHO was born

The research study was carried out and validated thanks to the involvement of distribution companies
in the Horeca sector  specially chosen with very different characteristics
and located throughout the Italian territory for greater homogeneity of data.
